On Saturday Mom, Dad, Drew, Jeff, Lili, Jonny, Julia, and I hiked the Horse Tail Falls trail in Alpine. This is my third time hiking this nice, shady trail. And for some reason I never remember that it is a little steep. Nothing you can't handle, but you do get a workout. The lookout point where you see the falls is gorgeous and definitely worth the uphill hike. (Linds, do you remember when we found our way to the falls and you saved my life crossing the river??! I was reminded of that and how I am forever indebted to you...)Oh, and before the hike Jonny and I picked up a Gandolpho's breakfast sandwich. When you are in the mood for a delicious and filling breakfast, try out the "Huevos Locos." You will not be disappointed.

Note: In the picture above Julia is munching on a carrot. Those little babies kept her happy the whole hike.

I'd love a good hike right now. Looks great. But I'd like to borrow Julia's carrier think so KC could carry me. Julia's hair is getting so long.
When I saw the beginning of this post with all those names, I said, "Jake, prepare to be jealous." He gets so jealous when everyone gets together over there and does fun things. I don't know how little Janey would have done on a steep hike like that, but we might have tried it nonetheless.
THEN you mentioned Gandolphos. More jealous lazer beams from Jakes eyes . . .
I think Julia is losing her "baby" look...she looks like a little girl in that first picture, so sweet. And that backpack looks pretty heavy duty, I would love someone to cart me around in that thing!
Ok, that is one insane backpack/child-carrier! Man, if someone carried me around in that think I would be LOVIN life. It looks so great, shade and all. Don't show Myles, he may think he is jypd.

That was a very nice hike, and even worth getting up that early. But my heavens, why didn't you tell me you were going to Gandolfo's?!?!? Unfair. I like the growth coming out of my ear. :)
That is the cadilac of backpacks! That would be so nice to munch on carrots and be carried around in the shade!
Where did you get that back pack carrier for Julia? I love it. I'm sure Jonny got the best work out of all :o)
