Weekend 1: Cabin at Bear Lake

We were thrilled when our awesome friends the Michaelsons invited us to a family cabin for Halloween weekend. We were even more excited when we heard three other fun families from the neighborhood would be going too. With 10 adults and 16 kids, it was a full house. But the spacious five bedroom, four floor cabin was plenty big for all of us party animals. It was a blast to get to know the families better, watch kids play, and stay up late with the adults. Thanks again, Summer and Adam! It was just the get-away we needed. (And thanks to Summer for some of the pictures.)

Weekend 2: Logan
The First Dam Race is a favorite one of ours. (Admittedly, we like to joke around with the name of the race. To set the record straight, the name refers to the Logan First Dam, to which the race course runs past.) I wrote all about the race on my running blog, so suffice it to say here that it is still one of our favorites. And spending time with Grandma always makes a weekend.
Anyway, two fun weekends have come and gone. Now on to the winter holidays. We are pretty excited about those around here. Julia can't stop talking about Santa - already! (At least we have a good month of "You better watch out, you better not cry..." ammunition to fight off tantrums. We'll take it.)
