my paycheck today:

We moms do a ton of work. And we don't get payed. But conversations like this one are better than any hefty paycheck. Yeah, this sentiment is a little cheesy. But "girl, you know it's true."

Quoted segment spoken like Milli Vanilli during the intro dialogue to the classic 80s song. Just to complete the cheesiness, I guess.

During lunch today while I was cleaning up Gabe's apple juice spill...

Julia: "Mom, I think you are so awesome to make this whole house."
Me: "What? Did you mean lunch?"
Julia: "No, this house. You clean the floor and clean the house... It looks so awesome."
Me: "Well! Thank you for saying that, Julia. That is very sweet."
Julia: "I way love you, Mom."
Me: "I love you too."

You have taught that girl well. I can only hope that 1)my house is always clean enough for my kids to recognize how much I do, and 2)that they give my all the praise in the world for it. You are a lucky mom.

Julia has spoken it: It is so. How nice of her!

Love the quote. Really takes me back. Now how can I bribe Asher into a)learning to talk b)only singing praises to my name.

Aww, cute. Ethan DID tell me the other day, "Thank you Mommy, for my nice comfortable room. I love it so so much." And after moving furniture and cleaning all day, that was very nice to hear.

Also, I totally knew what you meant with the "girl you know it's true" deal.
