If you are interested in reading about Julia's participation in the Alpine Days Toddler Trot, check out my
post on our running blog. There are more than enough pictures and videos there to document the big event that Julia hasn't stopped talking about all day.

That post brought all of us so much joy! She looks like she really was working hard to finish that race. And with you guys as her examples, she is bound to be a running champ! We love you all. Juju, you are a way way awesin runner.
And way to go on your 1st place, Mel!!
K seriously.....LOVE IT
Yep, she did really well. Ran across the finish line.
All I can say is you better not be bailing on our favorite fall family 5Ks!
Drew, who is bailing!? We're not the ones in England, after all!
We want to do the fun fall ones. But we might do a free one in Amber's neighborhood instead of Beat Beethoven. As much as I love that one, I am not to excited about paying $18 each and not being able to opt out of the ugly t-shirt this year. What is with these race directors after all?!
Beat Beethoven = mostly downhill
Amber's neighbor's free thing = ??
We didn't bail! We are unavoidably detained! It's different from being around and just opting out. Anyway, do what you do. We are planning on Beating Beethoven and running at the First Dam whether people join us or not.
I run a 5K for free every morning. It's more fun if it's all profesh and organized.
Drew, of course you didn't bail. I guess I was just wondering what bailing of mine you were referring to. (And you were probably just referring to possible future bailing after all!) I am sorry that it came out accusatory. I know you just want us all to run a few together because it makes it more fun. I definitely feel the same.
Anyway, I guess I am just bummed that most of our favorite races have significantly raised their rates this year. So we will just have to be more picky. Mike's Mad Dash is another Sept. one that we love. So we will probably choose between the two. (It is a steep $20, but has long-sleeved tech shirts and the proceeds go toward cancer research. Plus, they give tons of awesome coupons in the race packet!)
I can't wait for Julia to start beating me in the 5Ks about five years from now! Hah.
Un-privatized huh?
Yeah, I was getting annoyed with the seemingly constant signing in!
Um, are you UNprivate? I'm confused.
ANYwho, she is the funniest. I LOVED watching her run across the finish!
