At an activity with the young women in my church ward, I was reminded the "Topsy Tail." It's been a while since I employed the simple pony tail enhancement on my own hair. (I still remember the infomercial and how excited I was to learn I could do it
without the fancy tool.) So I was playing around with simple, keep my hair out of my face, hairstyles at home when I realized it may just be the answer to my hair-woes with Julia. She hates to get her hair done, and I think, "What's the point? She'll scream bloody-murder while I wet it and pull it up, only for it to be disheveled when she wakes up from her nap." Here's where the topsy tail is a lifesaver. Yes, she fusses while I put it up (I think she'll get used to the routine in time), but after less than a minute of agony, we have a hairstyle that will last
through the nap and even overnight! This is really a breakthrough because I am trying to avoid bangs with her so we have to pull those shorter hairs out of her eyes somehow. Voila! Thank you, topsy tail.

Excellent idea. Cute coloring photo.
What a cute little girl you have - Thanks for letting us hang out with her for an hour the other night. She was a BLAST! Sorry if we caused her to hate the biggest loser forever!
I am just in shock about how adorable your child is. We need to have a play date with the juju. Don't you want us to babysit sometime?
Nice job!! Oh, but you should say "voila" instead of "viola" or I might start playing to you. :)
oh yes, I remember fashioning a topsy tail tool out of a hanger...those were the days! Very cute pictures of Julia, she is looking so grown up.
Oh the cuteness! I can't wait to see you guys! The excitement is building!
Ha! Viola. Thanks for the correction, Cam!
oh how cute! i hope my girls like having their hair done, since i love doing it! and i love the topsy tail!
What a cutie little girl! We did fashion a topsy tail on our daughter when she was about the same age as Julia. It will take some time for Julia to use to it. Its fun. We love those pictures!!! Julia is looking so grown up! We are so excited about her new little brother in May!!
Super cute. And no idea how you did that. Never heard of it.
Julia looks so cute. I have to tell you that the topsy tail is pure genius! I finally can keep Kristen's hair out of her face for more than an hour. Thank you for sharing this...it was much needed over here. You're definitely better at it than I am though...I think I need the little tool that they used to sell for it...I wonder if that's still around. :-) Hope all is well!
