"a happy day"

Just now I groaned when I walked into the kitchen (after leaving it momentarily) to find Gabe in the garbage can again. As I was grumbling about it Julia calmly said, "Mom, what's problem? It's a happy day, not a sad day. Why you so bad and sad?"

True that, Julia. There is no reason for me to be "bad and sad." (Not sure where she got that. But she says it every now and then. I think she means mad and sad?) It is a happy day, after all. I will be sure to remind her of that when it's time to brush her hair this morning...

ha!! leave it to a two year old to keep your moods in check, right! Lately, Jack will always say "oooh, mom so happy" or oh-no, mom not happy"

Funny kiddos...

Bad and sad for sure. It's always bad and sad when people get in the toilets around here. I'm pretty sure Jane eats out of the trash, but I try not to think about it.
