Any day now

Well, with only six days left until this baby is officially due, we are getting more and more anxious to meet her. It's crazy, just waiting and wondering when she will come. It could be today, or it could be in three weeks! Her nursery is ready for her and so are we. (Well, as ready as we will ever be!) I have been through the baby aisles at Walmart and Target countless times, picking up onsies, burpclothes, hooded towells, and whatever else seems to be necessary for a new baby. Even with all my preparation though, I am sure we will visit the stores regularly after she is born. (I mean, I just realized I will need some baby nail clippers. The list will never end!) There is so much to know and do and buy. Sometimes I feel very unprepared to take care of an infant. But I know I will learn as I go. Wish me luck and please know that I welcome any advice!

Oh, Jonny put up the simple shelves you see pictured. With some baskets on them, they do the job of a dresser. I love the low shelf that holds my small but growing collection of picture books - within arm's reach from the rocking chair. I can't wait to read them to her when she can see the pictures . . . she already hears the words being read frequently!

Hopefully next time you read a post from me, I will have written it during her nap time. Then again, I hear I will be sleeping whenever she is. We will just have to wait and see . . .

P.S. The picture of me was taken a few weeks ago, so I am most likely poking out even more today. Whatever the case, this is the last pregnant picture of me that any of you will see for a long time!

Congrats! I'm excited to hear the news! Looks like you are very prepared. We had a bassinet and car seat given to us by Amber, and a few baby clothes washed and that was it... and I think we managed just fine. You will be a wonderful mom! Best wishes!
