Yes, I enjoyed a happy birthday - but only as happy as one can be without sharing it with my twin sister Emily. The last two years we celebrated together in Maryland. This is only the second birthday we've spent apart. The other was my sophomore year of college. But my awesome roommates made sure the cake they surprised me with was covered with pictures of Emily. (I'll never forget that, Linds and Mer!)
This year, her lack of presence was made up by a somewhat joint birthday party via web cam (Em's present from KC). This was fun, but kind of made me miss you more, Em, as you were all alone in your home at the time.
But the good news is, Amber and I WILL be traveling to Maryland in less than a month! We buckled down and bought the plane tickets last week. So Em and I will have another, belated, birthday celebration in November. (And Amber will be included, as she has an Oct, b-day as well!) After all, whose birthday only lasts one day? They certainly don't around here.
Can't wait to see all you Maryland people soon!
P.S. My birthday did already last the entire weekend. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Kneader's Saturday morning with Lindsey and Keegan. (Hope you two don't mind that I'm counting that as part of my birthday festivities!) In the afternoon Jonny, Julia, and I went on a bike ride on the Provo River Trail. It was perfect weather and the leaves were gorgeous. We ate at the Provo Bajio after, which always brings back fun memories of our college years. On Sunday Mom made Hawaiin plate lunch and the fam came for the mulitple birthday party. Thanks for the gifts, food, and fun, everyone!

I am glad that you get to go see Em. I can't even imagine what it is like to not be with her at right now. I know you two love each other--you were always an example to me of how family should be you best friend!
I am lame and didn't call. KC had to call us and webcam for a while before I remembered, and I guess I just figured we'd celebrate next month and put it out of my mind. SO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I will make you a party when you come since I'll be the only non-b-day sis around!
Yeah for the webcam! I love those pictures. I'll put them on my blog soon. And btw, this was our 3rd birthday apart. Maybe you are trying to block one out or something. I remember going to the melting pot with Cami and Corrinne one year, and then again with KC the next. I've been here for 4 whole birthdays! craziness. Well I am happy to have at least seen you happy face and know that you are coming soon. It's great to have something to look forward to. Now, get that webcam fast!
Three, really!? That's bad. I really don't remember. I will have to go back and look through my journals.
OMG, why don't I get to come to MD with you??? I haven't seen Cami's boys for years! :( It was good to see you and Emily together, in a manner of speaking. Happy birthday to you too! I want more plate lunch.
I am a retarded friend! I missed your birthday! I'm sorry. It sounds like you had a lot of fun!
That's so exciting that you'll be off to Maryland next month! Happy belated birthday! I'm so glad you'll be able to celebrate with Emily (in person) then.
Me and Ash both!! I knew the big day was coming up... but I too missed it... But you two are so freaking gorgeous! Have an awesome trip!!
this is a sad day for me. you know, i had your bday written down on my calender, then came home for the weekend, and who needs to know what the date is when they are hanging at the parents house. I sure hope you count french toast as a birthday celebration, just imagine I sang you a wonderfully high and beautiful rendition of "happy birthday". i love you my friend. And better luck to me next year with the birthday wishes.
Happy birthday! We leave today so we will see you soon!
I love this! How fun would it be to have a twin...too bad you couldn't hug her in person.
