Ok, so today I met the lady with the longest fingernails in the world. Strolling through Walmart, I must have passed her 4 times. The first time, in the milk aisle, we chatted and I asked her how long she has been growing her nails...28 years. By the time we were both in the produce department I figured I'd better get a picture. Lee Redmond was very gracious (I'm sure she's used to pictures and even expects it).
So here we are. Pretty insane. I wonder what makes a person decide to do such a thing. Look her up in the Guinness Book. I remember seeing pictures of her when I was a kid. Back then her nails were more curly, I guess they've straightened out some. Crazy. And sad, all those years dedicated to fingernails.

If you wouldn't mind hanging out at walmart more frequently in the hopes that you run into her again, then when you do please call me. I have many questions I want answered, like how she can even drive, etc.

That's disgusting. I wouldn't like to live that way. 1- I could, my nails are too thin, 2- I could do my job and 3 - I would be grossed out by myself everyday.

My new mission in life is to find this woman and "accidentally" break one of her nails. (Oh my goodness, I just realized it--I might be mean!)

I didn't even believe it until I saw the picture, for some reason I thought you were just making a joke. Her nails are insane!
So this Friday I would love to go to lunch, it's good Friday so I only half to work a half day if you and Julia are still available. I could do anytime after 12:30p.

Oh my goodness! I love Julia's face, it is priceless. Ah Walmart, good times. I am impressed you stopped and talked to her, let alone got a picture. I probably would have just stared from afar.
That's pretty funny. I don't like it at all, neither does Julia! Think how easy her life would be if they were short. Wow, it's just crazy.
