Melody is laughing at me right now because I am about to beat her to doing my 100 THINGS!!
1. My middle name is Edward. I have always liked the sound of my name “Jonathan Edward Rejholec.” Say it. It just rolls off the tongue.
2. I have been able to out-belch everyone I have contested with. My mom would be a block away and hear me belch in my backyard, come home and tell me to say “excuse me.”
3. Like Matt, I love cereal. My sister Sarah’s nick name for me is Cereal Boy. I love Grape Nuts but my fave would have to be Coco Dinos.
4. Rarely am I prouder than when I fix something on the car. The more I have to take apart and put back together the bigger the sense of pride I get.
5. I don’t play any instruments. I taught myself songs on the piano from Hymns Made Easy while on my mission. But that is my limit.
6. Little kids are my favorite. I often ditch the adults in the room to play with nieces and nephews or any kids for that matter.
7. I guess I’m a picky eater. This makes things difficult for Melody and my mother-in-law.
8. This is related to #7. I don’t like sour cream, yogurt, cottage cheese, cream cheese, aged cheese or anything that was once dairy and now rotten dairy. I wish I liked yogurt tho, and try it every now and then.
9. When in middle school my nickname was Pool Kid, and everyone my age knew me because I was at the pool every day and could do really cool stuff on the diving board.
10. I am confident, however, I always thing that I’m not as good, smart, cool, skilled as that ‘other’ guy. I’m working on that.
11. G-shocks are the coolest watches. Although oversized, they are study-turdy. We threw one off a 22 floor balcony and it didn’t break.
12. I lived off Lipton noodles when single in college. Every now and then I would treat Melody to some home made Lipton Stroganoff.
13. I love to cook and bake.
14. I’m an associate product manager at Logoworks. It’s a great opportunity to gain good business acumen and is in the heart of the business development. My boss is a genius and I am learning a lot.
15. I rarely flossed before I was married. Now it’s almost every night.
16. I love Melody’s potato-lover salad. Yummy in my tummy.
17. I love to play every sport. Once when dating Melody, her parents and Drew and Lili came to my Frisbee game and I made a dang cool catch. Anyway, it meant a lot that they came.
18. Oh, my freshman year of high school my parents came to one football game. I was tight-end and finally got a pass to me. It was a clear touchdown, but under-thrown. I came back for the ball and turned to run as I caught the ball. My heel kicked the ball out of my hands and it flew in the air. I didn’t have possession but they called it a fumble and the other team got the ball. Bummer.
19. I was suspended from school in 9th grade for “fighting.” Some dork was mad at me and punched me a few times. I got suspended and missed all of the home-coming activities. I should have punched back.
20. My scariest moment was riding bikes with my younger sister, Sarah. To turn around she went out in the street and was hit by a car. I had to ride home to tell my parents. She went to the hospital but just broke a leg. I didn’t eat until the next day when she came home.
21. I love flying in airplanes.
22. One nickname I had was Mapquest. I love maps. I love knowing where we are and how to get somewhere.
23. Outer Space boggles my mind. I love it. I always look at hubble photos, especially pictures of novas (http://hubblesite.org/gallery/album/nebula_collection)
24. Many desserts are just lovely. But my one true love is ice-cream. I don’t really experiment with flavors I stick to a few: Oreo, Mint Oreo, Cookie-dough, Mint Chip, and Pistachio. Who needs 31 flavors?
25. I usually don’t experiment with any food. If I go to a restaurant I find what I like and get it every single time. I think, “It’s not worth the risk.”
26. I successfully overcame my addition to Chapstick in 2000.
27. I can’t stand clipping my fingernails. Toenails, not so bad. My left hand, not so bad. But my right hand (clipping with my left) is one of the most difficult things I do once a week.
28. I have a hard time believing facts in the news or books. I think very critically of any statistics and try to disprove the numbers by finding fallacies or other causations.
29. I am a pro-active driver. Not offensive, but always think and look ahead. I am working when I’m driving. I need to just chill.
30. How in the world did I get such a beautiful woman to marry me?
31. I am 50%
32. My dad is a cop. I always loved that. Especially when I would be pulled over and just given a warning.
33. The most disappointing thing I ever did to my parents was shoplift. I stole a package of Skittles and got community service for it.
34. I used to ditch church with my brother, Joe. Our favorite things to do was go over the hill to the store, or just take some popsicles from the frig and climb up on the church roof.
35. I used to cuss until 9th grade. Spit too.
36. My two youngest sisters have grown up so fast. I hate it, but I love it. They have turned out to be two awesome chicas. Rudi and Emilie.
37. One time in my entire life I decided that I would watch what I ate and even not eat sweets. Someone brought donuts to work that day. I ate three.
38. I didn’t need braces. Hope the kiddos get their teeth from daddy.
39. My bro, Joe, and I each had a cat once. We used to throw them into the air to see if they would land on four feet. They ran away after one week.
40. I had a sip of beer once when I was 8 years old (not knowing it was beer). It was disgusting and I never touched it since.
41. I love my family to death and think the world of them. I always want to do something to make them happy.
42. I lucked out with my in-laws. Every single one is amazing. They are so nice to me and don’t care that I am goofy.
43. I am no good at small talk. I don’t feel awkward but I know they know that our chit chat is just small talk and so I shy away from it.
44. Melody and I refer to our future kids as our little friends.
45. I’m pretty good at the pull-your-thumb-apart trick. Kids love it. But Jillian has figured it out.
46. I don’t know cool music very well and can’t take part in such conversations. I only listen to the oldies and country. I only hear new songs when they are playing in a store or the mall.
47. I have two Moments that are just… top notch. One is driving through
48. #2 Moment. Eating a large pink frosted Grandma’s cookie with a tall glass of cold whole milk while sitting at a picnic table in a park, during a cool summer’s evening. Ahhh yes.
49. Once Melody made Moment #2 come true for me when we were dating. I love her.
50. My policy was “If you’re not 10 minutes early… your late” as eased up as I realize it just makes things worse for others if I’m trying to hurry them along. I have relaxed.
52. My face turns red easily. That was horrible in high school but not so bad now as people are not out to embarrass me.
53. I know sign-language. My sisters Kiera and Sarah are deaf, both have deaf husbands, and Kiera has two deaf children. It’s not a big deal to us deaf or not deaf in our family, there was no difference.
54. I grew up in the same house my whole life. The house was built in 1908 and had a blacksmith’s shop in the back yard. We dug around and found a lot of old nails.
55. In 4th grade I made it to the final round of the school-wide geography bee. When asked what natural force cause water to flow downhill I asked the question to be repeated before answering, “A smooth surface.” The eager boy next in line shouted out, “Gravity!”
56. I love that I married my best friend. She and I get along so well. I just love Melody to death.
57. I can’t stand how
58. I don’t enjoy chocolate bars in
59. I proposed to Melody while bird watching.
60. I chew half-pieces of gum.
61. I can’t help but throw snowballs really hard in snowball fights. I don’t think it’s fun when they have time to duck out of the way. I stay out of the game.
62. I like games that don’t take any thinking and I love games that take a lot of strategy, but they must be fast moving games. Scrabble and especially Monopoly drive me crazy. But Upwards and Scrabapple I enjoy.
63. I have a goal to climb all 58 14ers in
64. If I’m ever filthy rich I would spend the $ to get the hair on my neck laser removed. Not my face, but I hate shaving my neck.
65. I’ve shaved my legs before. It was with my cross country team.
66. A girl asked me out once when I was 14 and I rejected her. She moved away but moved back two years later. She had… changed, and I asked her out. She rejected me.
67. I absolutely love
68. My parents are amazing. My dad loves us kids like crazy and always did things with us. My mom is the most self-less person I know.
69. I feel so blessed to have been raised in the church. The truth and principles it teaches helps me to become a better person and I know anything is possible.
70. I have a grand total of 4 cousins. Two on my dad’s side, two on my mom’s.
71. I feel so bad for Pluto. It went from planet to rock last year.
72. I used to get bloody noses as a kid until I took Flintstone’s Vitamins with iron.
73. I cry during movies and country songs.
74. When Melody beats me at ping pong or badminton she falls on the ground with joy.
75. My first time swimming in salt water was in 2004 when I was 22 years old. It was at
76. I am a believer in free markets. It is driving me nuts right now that the House is trying to increase the minimum wage.
77. Did you know some cars don’t have cruise control?! I mean, how do they live without it?
78. My nephew and niece Sam and Mackenzie were both born when I was on my mission. I have only seen them a few times and I want to see them so bad.
79. I remember my dad waking me up around two am once when I was 6 or 7 years old and told me to come outside. The sky was red from an aurora borealis.
80. It’s hard for me to cut my hair. I like it long and curly, but I like looking sharp and clean too. It’s a tough one. But I always get it cut without Melody knowing and surprise her.
81. When I turned 16 or 17 I complained to my mom that we didn’t own a couple of Disney movies including The Little Mermaid. My birthday cake had the Little Mermaid on it; I got the movie and the soundtrack.
82. I love some jingles. The quilted, quicker picker-upper, Bounty. Gillette the best a man can get!
83. I like to say puns all the time. 90% of the time they are really lame, but once in a while I make Melody laugh.
84. Have you heard about those corduroy pillows? They’re making headlines!
85. When I was little I would go with my dad to Woolworth’s (we called it Pinki’s because the waitress was named Pinki) in the morning to sit and get a cup of coffee. We kids would drink hot chocolate with never ending refills on the whipped cream.
86. I only played backyard baseball when I was younger. We couldn’t pay for me to be on a team. But with all my siblings we were our own teams.
87. Badminton in the evenings in the backyard in the summer evenings is a great memory for me.
88. We decorated our Christmas tree on Christmas Eve.
89. I love the smell in Auto Zone or Checker Auto.
90. You know how some people say they can’t wait until winter during the hot summertime and say they can’t wait until summer during the winter? I decided long ago that not matter what season it is, I like summer best.
91. My car broke down in
92. I can’t stand the smell of cigar smoke. But I love the smell of pipe smoke.
93. My buddy and I used to turn the nozzle on our car that shot the windshield fluid out to the side and spray people as we drove down the street.
94. I love green-chili cheeseburgers from Sonic. They don’t have them at the Sonics in
95. I don’t like Ketchup at all. I love mustard. I absolutely love Worcestershire sauce.
96. My brother’s friend read my journal once and made fun of me. I ripped it up and didn’t write in one for years.
97. Barry Bonds is the anti-baseball. I can’t stand that he is still playing and going for Hank Aaron’s record. Grrr!
98. My grandpa had an amazing house, shop, and land. I loved going out to his place and getting rides in the tractor, feeding the cows and chickens, and sitting around in the shop talking and spitting sunflower seeds on the floor.
99. I am the luckiest husband in the world.
100. It’s not the easiest thing to shave the dimple in my chin.

Why did you steal skittles for your parents? I guess you gotta do what they boss tells you eh?
Excellent list. I don't think I know anything at all about you J, but I want to. This list is a good start.
I love it. You were such a wild child. I think you should've said a little about how I was partly responsible for your first kiss with Melody. That's okay. I really loved the mermaid birthday one. We both laughed out loud.
Lovely list. I am waiting for the next 200. Also, we LIKE goofiness and think your weird if you don't have it. Also, good thing I lived here in MD so you could swim in salt water. I am holding myself responsible for that one.
Congrats to you Jonny on the 100. One BIG problem--no numbers. How can I refer to one without the numbers? Gotta actually refer to the content, sheesh. I remember back in the day when I used to fix the car, especially the Toyota Corona we had. But, back then you could fix a car with a screw driver, a pair of pliers and some baling wire. Haven't read the whole list, but I will. However, I don't know where I left off, since there are no numbers . . .
I'll try to get some numbers in there before it's too late. Oh and Matt, what i meant was the thing i did that disappointed my parents the most. They didn't have me going around stealing candy... ha!
Many confessions! You may want to keep some of the swearing and stealing experiences from your children until they are of age. We don't need naughty Rejholecs running around! We laughted and cried. It was a great list-Amber
There. I took it upon myself to number Jonny's list. You are all very welcome!
Hi jonny. I can't believe your middle name is Edward. I am inlove with a ficticious Vampire named Edward. Good job on your 100. HAHA! You beat Melody!
